Gina Montori is known in the coastal Carolina region as The Low Country Life Coach

Essential Self, the less suffering/fear/despair/unhappiness you will experience in all areas of your life.

My mission as your coach is to help you clear away the layers upon layers of "soot" that society and culture (and most likely a hand full of  well-intentioned  individuals)  have  shrouded over your Essential Self. We will examine the foundations of the life you currently have, determine which parts are not serving  you or resonating with the real YOU, and begin to build the foundation for a new future-- one that feels more like your true destiny and less like some cheap imitation of someone else's life. By the way, the wisdom of the Essential Self speaks to us through the BODY (which never lies!) and NOT the mind (which will lie like a two-bit whore!). I will teach you how to recognize, and pay attention to,  the messages you are getting from your body and how to distinguish the truth of the essential self from the often misleading thoughts and beliefs of the mind and the social self.

This is not an 'additive' approach. Nothing will be added to your already busy and over-stressed life. Our coaching sessions will feel like play time.  We  focus on YOU and what works best for YOU. You will become skilled at quickly identifying the thoughts, beliefs, and actions (and people) that feel wrong, limiting, toxic and that are  causing you pain, suffering or anguish. Eventually, you will have the tools in your tool box to manage any problem, conflict, or challenge that comes your way.

It is my intent to create a safe, compassionate, and  judgment-free space for you to explore your wildest dreams, connect with your Essential Self, learn to honor your body wisdom,  identify what's holding you back, and ultimately create the life you were meant to live.  I believe you deserve this. I believe everyone deserves this. That's why I'm here!

My Coaching Philosophy

Every single one of us has an internal guidance system (call it intuition, inner wisdom, spirit). I like to call it your Essential Self. Whatever you choose to call it, it's like a compass guiding you to True North (your destiny, your right life, freedom, peace). This internal GPS will never fail you. It has all the answers, all the clarity, all the solutions to every obstacle you will face in life. The problem, however, is that we are taught from a very young age to IGNORE IT!  It's nobody's fault in particular, except for just about every single authority figure you have ever encountered; from your parents to your teachers to your priest/pastor to every awful boss you've ever had. This is basically how our society/culture works:  FOLLOW OUR RULES, AND NOBODY GETS HURT!

Except that it DOES hurt! And the longer you ignore the wisdom and guidance from your Essential Self, the farther off-course you get, and the more pain and suffering you experience.

So, my approach to coaching is based on this simple philosophy- The more tuned-in you are to the wisdom of your

What is a Life Coach?

I think of it this way-- the difference between a life coach and a therapist is similar to the difference between a personal trainer and a doctor.  A doctor helps people who are physically sick get healthy again, while a personal trainer works with them to reach their ultimate health and fitness goals. Similarly, as a life coach, I work with people who are basically mentally and emotionally healthy, but who are struggling with frustration and dissatisfaction in one or more areas of their life. Every coach is different. I start with your area of least satisfaction and together we work toward improving it, then we move on to the next, until all areas of your life are in harmony.  Simply put, it is my job to help make your life better! If your life is horrible, I can help make it better. If your life is great, I can help make it even better!  A life coach can help you change your life for the better. It's like having a personal trainer for the soul!

Note: If you are currently in therapy, please have no fear! I am  happy to discuss the possibility of coaching while you continue therapy.  This has proven to work very well (and truthfully, I've had clients fire their therapists because they saw better and more immediate results through coaching).
